Pickleball was invented in the United States in 1965, and in the early 21st century it experienced rapid growth. It is now played worldwide by people of all ages and skill levels and is now available at your local Lakehills Community Center (LHCC).ย  It is played on a level court with short-handled paddles and a perforated hollow plastic ball that is volleyed over a low net. Matches feature two opposing players (singles) or two pairs of players (doubles).ย  Both Lakehills Community Center members and non-members (see below) are invited to enjoy the Pickleball sport and court at the Center.

In order to book a Pickleball reservation, you agree to hold the Lakehills Community Center harmless for any incident, injury, or mishap.ย  ย You also agree to play safely and agree to the safety guidelines:

  • Minors under the age of 18 must be supervised by an adult.
  • Service dogs are welcome.
  • Restrooms are available during your reservation if the Community Center is open.
  • Soft, low-volume music is welcome.
  • Plastic or aluminum water bottles are encouraged, while glass containers are prohibited.
  • “Sneakers” or athletic shoes are highly encouraged.ย  Hard soles and “flip-flops” are discouraged.
  • Subscriber must be present during the entire reservation.
  • Due to unforeseen potential venue rental at the Panchita Pavilion, please understand that your Pickleball reservation may have to be rescheduled.

Remember, if you are Lakehills Community Center (LHCC) Member, (click here to find out more!) then you can have unlimited access to the Pickleball Court (subject to scheduling) for a calendar year subscription rate of $100.00 per year.ย  Non-Members for the LHCC are also welcome at an annual subscription rate of $120.00.

Both Members and Non-members are welcome to use the Pickleball court (again subject to open scheduling) for a subscription fee of $20.00 per month.
